It my not seem like there is much to do in the city of Philadelphia, but trust me there is so much going on that it may overwhelm you. The events range from brews at Spruce Street Harbor Park to viewing the radiant Chinese Lantern Festival, which was such a beautiful sight to see. Philadelphia also is the home of many festivals such as WaWa Welcome America and Made In America festival. Which this years line up might be the best of all time (wise words of Kanye).
Also, numerous food and drink festivals where you can party and celebrate with a total strange and still have a good time. Philadelphia has nothing but amazing art exhibits and music on every street you turn. But there is one place where you can relax and have a drain while you listen to live much from an army of direct artist. From poets, rappers, smooth jazz, and even R&B. Steve McKie (the producer on Jill Scott's #1 album in the country) of McKie Beats, BBE, and Love My Life Entertainment presents an awesome live show called Beat Street Jam.
An annual open mic night at Silk City Diner Bar & Lounge every Tuesday at the end of each month. Hosted by the very talented, Aaron Camper and Music by the multi-talented, DJ Dilemma. It is the place to be every Tuesday. Trust me you won't regret it!
