Chance the Rapper has returned to his hometown for a new interview with Katie Couric. Chance dove deep into his Chicago roots. The interview was conducted at the city's legendary restaurant Harold's Chicken Shack. Conducted in the legendary Chicago joint, Harold’s Chicken Shack, Chance talks candidly about the meaning behind his signiture "3," staying independent, his tribute to Muhammad Ali, Obama, Kanye, Trump and a lot, lot more.
"You know, the three-prong family of me, my daughter and her mother is something that permeated throughout the music," he tells Couric. "And then, none of this would be possible without the Holy Trinity. Now, I'm a three-time Grammy winner -- until next year."
Chance was also supposed to meet up with Illinois governor Bruce Rauner to talk about the essentials of education funding in the city, as he’s the goat. But unfortunately he cancelled due to a tornado in southern Illinois.
We also can’t forget to mention that Chance also just made Grammy history with his wins for the streaming-only full-length Coloring Book which dropped last year. Does he have any faults? Not yet it seems.
