Big Sean has been off the radar for a while now, but he is back in full effect with his two new tracks "Bounce Back" and "No More Interviews".
In "No More Interviews," which was Prod. by Amaire Johnson & Big Sean, you can say that this song is practically a diss record calling out Kid Cudi and his EX, Naya Rivera. The rapper has some lyrics that appear to be taking swipes at the "Glee" actress, Naya Rivera. Sean goes to say:
"AND THE FUNNY THING ABOUT IT IS MY EX WANNA WRITE A TELL-ALL, F**KED UP THING ABOUT IT IS SHE AIN'T EVEN TELL ALL."
Given that Rivera recently released a memoir titled "Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes, and Growing Up," she details her experiences when she was informed that Big Sean wanted to end the engagement from an article online, where his publicist released a statement about the alleged break up.
Sean confirms that his hit song "IDFWU" was clearly about her. Thanks Big Sean for that confirmation, as if we didn't put two and two together. Sean clearly wants to throw Naya under the bus, taking shots and stating:
"I WON'T TELL THEM ALL THE OTHER PARTS ABOUT YOU THAT'S PLASTIC / THIS MY LAST TIME PUTTING MY EX IN A SONG EVEN THOUGH THE LAST ONE WENT TRIPLE PLATINUM."
Cudi was also brought into the mix when Big Sean later acknowledges the ongoing beef surrounding Kid Cudi, Kanye West, and Drake.
CUDI AND YE, WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR FAMILY WAYS, THOUGH/WHEN I PUT YOU ON THAT SONG WITH NAS YOU HAD TOLD ME THAT YOU WAS FOREVER GRATEFUL/AND THAT WE BROTHERS/SO IT HURT TO HIT THE INTERNET TO FIND OUT THAT ME AND YOU DON’T FUCK WITH EACH OTHER OVER A MISCOMMUNICATION/THAT PROBABLY COULD BE FIXED WITH A FIVE-MINUTE CONVERSATION/I’M STILL PRAYING/FOR YOU, THOUGH, I GUESS I CHARGED IT TO THE GAME/HOW MUCH IT COST?/AROUND TWENTY88
Big Sean's other new single "Bounce Back," is a straight banger which was produced by HITMAKA & Smash David(ADDITIONAL PRODUCTION BY METRO BOOMIN & AMAIRE JOHNSON). This song solely solidifies that Big Sean should be somewhere in your list of top 10 artist hands down. The single created the picture of Sean riding solo while grinding round the clock to build his career. In this line, he shoves it in your face by saying:
“Don’t owe nobody, owe nobody / Always on the fu**in job, I got no hobbies / Got the city fu**in’ with me cause I’m homegrown / Vibing out more than my phone though / Leave me alone me on my own though.”
Geesh, looks like Big Sean is coming for the number 1 spot in 2016. Thoughts?
