2 Chainz and renowned artist Trouble Andrew have teamed up for 2 Chainz's new album Pretty Girls Like Trap Music out June 16. Taking inspiration from 2 Chainz's music, Trouble Andrew designed the album cover art and today they revealed a sneak peak of their apparel collaboration. The rapper has teamed up with Gucci's favorite graffiti artist, Trevor Andrew, a.k.a. the GucciGhost.
The paths of GucciGhost a.k.a Trouble Andrew and 2 Chainz are also similar in style. Both began their careers as humble artists, only to find themselves embraced by big names and big brands when the time saw fit. They also occupy this now sought-after space between high and low, glossy and messy, and they both continue to avoid the mainstream demands of fitting into a mold and satisfying peoples needs while simultaneously profiting off of them.
On Wednesday, June 7th from 3-6PM there will be an exclusive pop up shop in NYC with limited apparel items featuring art from Trouble Andrew, inspired by 2 Chainz.
Following the shop, 2 Chainz will launch a digital pop up shop where each day a new apparel item with Trouble Andrew will be available for one day only. The shop will rotate each day starting June 8th through the release of 2 Chainz's new album Pretty Girls Like Trap Music on June 16th. The pieces will also be available for purchase online, but only for 24-hours at a time.
